On November 19, 2020, Bitcoin.com announced that they were partnering with Frank Muller, the luxury watchmaker. As part of the partnership, Frank Muller will launch a new luxury timepiece titled “Free the Money, Free the World.”

Details Of The Watch

The new watch is the first-ever Bitcoin Cash Frank Muller “Encrypto” timepiece from the watchmaker. It will be a limited edition watch, and it will sell for 9900 EUR or around $11,738. Only 500 of the watches will ever be created.

Tyler Gallagher of Regal Assets and Mate Tokay, the co-founder of Bitcoin.com, designed the luxury timepiece. During the launch, Gallagher said that he was thrilled to have worked with the team at Bitcoin.com. He said:

“This has been an exciting project and it is beyond an honor to work with Bitcoin.com, Mate Tokay, and Roger Ver on this. Let’s free the world together.”

The Frank Muller brand is extremely popular. Their timepieces have been spotted on the wrists of celebrities such as Kanye West, Kim Kardashian, David Beckham, and Swae Lee.

Crypto Storage Capabilities

The new Bitcoin Cash (BCH) Frank Muller watch will come with a two-piece “Deep Cold Storage” set that will allow its owners to store their BTC. The public address is etched on the dial. It comes as a black and green wristwatch that is 41mm wide. Its watch machinery is uniquely complex.

The watch features an extremely durable titanium exterior, which is perfect for those with an active lifestyle. It features a black DLC coating with green accents that gives it a fashionable and stylish look. It also features a unique QR code that can be customized with the owner’s BCH or BTC public key.

Overwhelming Response

During the launch of the limited-edition timepiece, the head of Bitcoin.com, Mate Tokay, said that he was excited to see the community response toward the watch. He said that it had been an amazing experience to work with the luxury watchmaker to design the first Bitcoin Cash timepiece in the world.

Tokay added that:

As a watch enthusiast, this challenge meant a lot to me. I truly believe that we have created a one of a kind watch, and I am flattered to say that the feedback has been great so far.”

Already In The Hands Of Celebrities

Since the launch of the limited edition chronometer, several celebrities have already gotten their hands on it. They include:

  • FaZe Banks – YouTuber and gamer
  • Young Thug – famous American rapper

  • Kaash Paige – singer-songwriter
  • Gunna – hip-hop star

Frank Muller And Crypto

The recent deal is not the first time Frank Muller is making headways in the crypto sector. In May 2019, the company unveiled the first watch in the “Encrypto” line that came with Bitcoin storage capabilities. With such a major brand showing interest in the crypto sector, it will no doubt help to drive up adoption by raising awareness on crypto.
