Despite plummeting trading value, XRP cryptocurrency recently received support from Japanese crypto exchange bitFlyer. The exchange has officially announced the listing of XRP cryptocurrency on December 2, 2019.

Essentially in Japan, XRP is the second-largest cryptocurrency followed by BTC and with the addition of XRP, the exchange can buy and sell XRP via its web platform and mobile wallet applications. The listing is followed by the bitFlyer’s support for BCH (Bitcoin Cash), ETC )Ethereum Classic), LTC (Litecoin), LSK (Lisk) and MONA (Monacoin) cryptocurrencies in September this year. The exchange itself is the largest crypto trading platform by trading volume in Japan which excitedly laid out the importance of XRP, the native token of Ripple.

“Ripple (XRP) is the currency that boasts Japan’s second-largest domestic trade volume*2 after Bitcoin, and it can be bought and sold on our Altcoin Market through web browsers or through Buy/Sell on the bitFlyer Wallet app (iOS and Android).” said bitFlyer.

To celebrate XRP listing on bitFlyer, the exchange announced a campaign that ends on December 26. As part of the campaign, users should trade at least 5000 JPY and ten winners will receive 100,000 JPY. According to the announcement, the reward will be sent to winners in January 2020.

However, the third-largest cryptocurrency, XRP has long been failed to show the positive mark – in fact, the token is currently plunging by 0.97 percent within the past 24Hrs. It is currently trading at $0.21 against USD which notably counts the market capitalization of $16,183,601,386.

Although the exchange launched XRP support, it remains unclear whether the service is available for exchange’s other wings – U.S. and Europe. However, when exchange added trading support for multiple crypto assets in September 2019, Andy Bryant, co-head and COO of BitFlyer Europe, stated that;

 “Those currencies were previously only available to our Japanese customers, so we’re also consolidating our offer across regions, building a global platform for traders all over the world,”
