Wirex, one of the fastest growing digital payment platforms, has partnered with the Fintech Times to announce the 2020 “Rising Women in Crypto Power List.” After an original list of 367 nominations, the judging panel has officially revealed the top 10. Which women in crypto are at the forefront of this emerging market?
Wirex – Rising Women In Crypto
In early October 2020, Wirex announced they were partnering with the FinTech Times on a power list of “Rising Women in Crypto.” This campaign was carried out to identify incredible achievements in the industry and determine which women are at the forefront of this market. Aside from Wirex bridging the gap between traditional finance and digital assets, they are also bridging the gap between women and crypto. The goal of the campaign was to celebrate women in the industry, and provide confidence for those who want to get involved.
The Power list was created in a diverse manner, recognizing women in 50+ countries. These professionals come from tech, finance, legal, design, journalism, and many other sectors. At the beginning of October, 367 were nominated to the longlist before being being narrowed down by judges.
Pavel Matveev, the CEO and Co-Founder of Wirex was one of the Power List judges and stated that:
“The ‘Women in Crypto’ initiative has been a phenomenal success. Having already read some of the nominations for the ‘Power List’, it’s incredible to see the extensive achievements of women working in the sector. Since its inception, Wirex’s mission has been to empower everyone to step into the world of crypto by offering a simple solution to the often confusing world of blockchain, and we hope that this campaign inspires women around the world to get involved in this rapidly growing sector.”
