This Publicly Traded Company Just Started Accepting Dogecoin

Kronos Advanced Technologies recently announced that it would begin accepting Dogecoin as payment. According to the announcement, the company decided to accept Dogecoin due to its rising popularity. It also pointed to some of the unique features of Dogecoin as the reason for its decision. For instance, Kronos noted that Dogecoin payments are quite fast compared to other tokens. The company was already accepting other coins as payment such as Ethereum, Bitcoin, Litecoin, and many others. 

Dogecoin Is An Accepted Payment Method By Many Merchants

The popularity of Dogecoin has been growing in recent years. Dogecoin has recently seen its value skyrocket. Even the CEO of Tesla, Elon Musk, has gotten in on the coin. He recently tweeted that Dogecoin was his favorite coin. The coin recently saw its value rise by 420% in 24 hours. It currently has a market cap of over $4 billion.

Other pointers to its rising popularity include social media posts. On Twitter, Dogecoin is the most mentioned crypto coin in recent days. Data shows that Dogecoin is the most mentioned crypto coin on Twitter of all time. According to data from TheTIE, Dogecoin surpassed the previous record set by Bitcoin on January 2, 2021, and December 22, 2017.

According to Michael Rubinov, the president of Kronos,

“In the last ten years, much has been said about how cryptocurrency will revolutionize payments, services, businesses and will change the world the way we know it. Cryptocurrency has changed e-commerce: as more and more people now shop online. Cryptocurrency gives customers more reasons to utilize the convenience of online shopping, as it mitigates the risk of fraud for both vendors and shoppers.”

He noted that the Dogecoin community on Reddit had grown to over 670,000 members. Kronos decided to accept Dogecoin to market their N95 mask and air purifiers to the Reddit community.

Rubinonv added that their goal was to offer superior air purifiers and other products to offer their customers a progressive payment option. He noted that by accepting Dogecoin, Kronos was joining a growing list of merchants that were adapting to fit the needs of modern consumers. Kronos became the first online merchant to accept Dogecoin for air purifiers.

Who Is Kronos?

Kronos was created in 2002. It was funded by the US military to develop electrostatic air movers. The company eventually moved into the consumer air purifiers industry. 

It started as a product development company, which invented and changed how air is filtered and sterilized. The company focuses on developing, marketing, and selling its proprietary air purification technology. Kronos uses high voltage patented technology without using traditional HEPA filters. 

Kronos recently filed for a provisional patent that entails an innovative facemask that features antimicrobial and anti-cell phone radiation protection. The company plans to file for additional patents to improve its existing technology and enter a new market segment. However, they plan to continue marketing their air purifiers and other products.
