Rotterdam, Netherlands

Seadronix, a leader in AI-enabled autonomous ship navigation, has launched its “Port-to-Port AI Platform” in partnership with Radio Holland, the global leader in maritime navigation and communication systems.

A successful trial was carried out by Stolt Tankers B.V , a leading chemical tanker operator. This strategic partnership marks Seadronix’s entry into the European market and the initial real-world application of its AI-powered maritime situational awareness and autonomous navigation technologies in Europe.

The Port-to-Port Platform uses artificial intelligence to streamline communication and coordination between vessels and ports, enabling fully integrated, end-to-end

navigation from departure to docking. The platform integrates independent onboard systems, terminal operations, and remote fleet monitoring into a unified AI-driven maritime ecosystem.

Radio Holland played a key role in the project by installing the onboard and shore-based equipment and delivering the complete ICT infrastructure required to support the Port-to-Port AI Platform. This included the integration of vessel systems, onshore

connectivity, and secure data infrastructure, ensuring reliable continuous operation across ship, terminal, and remote monitoring environments.

Technological Deployment

·        Onboard Solutions: Seadronix has deployed its NAVISS Bridge system on two of Stolt Tanker’s vessels, offering real-time AI navigation support with 360-degree situational awareness and collision risk alerts.

·        Onshore Solutions: The NAVISS Hub offers centralized remote fleet monitoring and AI-based navigation risk analysis. This provides better vessel traffic monitoring, improves accountability, and enhances fleet regulation compliance.

·        Terminal Enhancements: The AVISS system, installed at the Botlek terminal in the Port of Rotterdam, enables real-time monitoring of facilities, personnel, and vessel movements, while its predictive AI supports accurate berthing and departure scheduling. This enhances safety in port operations, provides insights into reducing traffic lane congestion, and improves overall quay efficiency.

Together, these systems form a comprehensive AI maritime solution, enhancing decision-making and operational efficiency both at sea and on land.

“This project fulfills our Port-to-Port AI vision,” stated Byeolto Park, CEO of Seadronix. “Partnering with Stolt Tankers B.V. adds significant value, and we’re eager to work with global partners to advance smart autonomous maritime operations.”

Wim Nieuwveld, Director New Business at Radio Holland, highlighted, “Implementing Seadronix’s technology in Europe is a significant step for maritime digital transformation. It sets a standard for advancing autonomous navigation systems.”

Looking Ahead

The companies plan to investigate this technology further to identify potential

enhancements to navigation capabilities and opportunities to further integrate maritime data systems. These efforts will support alignment with upcoming regulatory standards, such as the IMO’s Maritime Autonomous Surface Ships (MASS) Code, and help

accelerate the safe and intelligent evolution of the global maritime industry.
