If you’ve ever thought of making payment with Crypto on Amazon, you may find the “Moon browser extension” an easiest choice to do so. The new startup is enabling users to pay for items on Amazon using Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin and Lightning Network.

Moon, the new browser extension is now available for Google Chrome, Brave and Opera browsers. Although Amazon itself isn’t integrating this payment option, rather a startup “Moon” is enabling it via a payment widget. This means, once you install the extension, the Moon extension will insert its payment widget on a checkout page of Amazon as soon as you land there. At present, Moon supports only Amazon and added Nike “as coming soon”.

Moreover, crypto enthusiasts can link the extension to their Coinbase account. With this, users can directly pay BTC, ETC or LTC by using Coinbase’s API directly. The platform reads that;

Moon is a non-custodial service that enables trustless payments. Moon supports daily limits, 2FA and revocable permissions for users paying with crypto from their Coinbase account.

 Although Amazon has already amassed world’s largest audience, the giant hasn’t entered the crypto space yet. Moreover, Moon’s service is only available in the US and Canada at the moment but it seeks to expand its services to other countries and other e-commerce websites as well.

Well, Moon’s effort of integrating the crypto service with Amazon looks pretty simple but the approach could be even simpler and capture major audiences if the giant itself accepts crypto payment. On the other hand, Japan’s e-commerce giant Rakuten which is also known as Amazon of Japan is already in a game of cryptocurrency. In fact, it had started accepting Bitcoin as a payment early this year. Moreover, back in April, 2019, Rakuten also opened its new cryptocurrency exchange, Rakuten Wallet.
