Stellar Development Foundation, the non-profit organization driving stellar network has just announced that the Samsung Blockchain Keystore will be adding support for Stellar. In doing so, Stellar investors will have the ability to securely store private keys on various Samsung Galaxy models.

Stellar Expands Blockchain Ecosystem

According to a recent announcement, the Stellar Blockchain is now accessible on various Samsung Galaxy models. With the alliance between Samsung and the Stellar Development Foundation, Stellar has been integrated into the Samsung Blockchain Keystore. With the integration, Stellar developers can now expand their reach by creating blockchain applications and services for people that own Galaxy phones. On various Galaxy smartphones, Stellar users will also have the ability to securely manage their private keys. Four Stellar ecosystem partners have pledged to be involved in the integration. Partners who plan to adopt the necessary SDKs to make their applications accessible in the Keystore include DSTOQ, SatoshiPay, Litemint, and Nodle. In addition to Ethereum, TRON, Bitcoin, and Klaytn, Stellar now becomes the fifth digital asset added to the Samsung Keystore.

Denelle Dixon, CEO of the Stellar Development Fund stated that:

“Stellar’s integration into the Samsung Blockchain Keystore is a significant step for our network and the incredible ecosystem of applications built on this platform. Samsung provides a key management solution that is user-friendly and drives greater adoption of blockchain technology. With this integration, we’ve opened up to a new network of users that can benefit from the combined innovation of Stellar and Samsung. It’s just the beginning as we work together to empower more developers and users to leverage blockchain and the capabilities presented by this integration.”

Samsung Blockchain Keystore

Galaxy Smartphones have specialized built in wallets that will now allow Stellar users to securely store their private keys. This means that users can sign transactions on compatible Stellar decentralized applications and crypto wallets. The Samsung Blockchain Keystore offers “vaultlike security” for managing digital keys. The infrastructure creates an environment where private key information is never stored on a device or the external cloud. In an environment where users value privacy, the Keystore has revolutionized the way information is protected from malware, breaches, and other threats. The Keystore is only supported by Samsung Galaxy phones. These devices include the Galaxy S20 series, Galaxy Note 10 series, Galaxy S10 series, and the flip/fold phones.
